A Message From Vice President Jake Tanksley

strategic-plan-strategic-themes.jpgWelcome to Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, the nation’s first degree-granting historically black college and university (HBCU) dedicated to excellence and a beacon for liberal arts educational advancement.

Our Office of Human Resources is comprised of a team of devoted professionals who embody the spirit of service and support for our valued employees. We understand that the cornerstone of our success lies in the well-being and growth of our Lincoln employees. Thus, we offer an array of services designed to enhance your professional journey and experience, including comprehensive customer service, dynamic engagement programs, competitive benefits, and opportunities for training and professional development.

In unity with the broader Lincoln University community, we cultivate an environment that not only upholds but celebrates our core values: respect, responsibility, and results. It is through this collaborative spirit that we forge a path to excellence and innovation.

At the heart of our Human Resources mission is the strategic theme of building a culture that supports student success. Our endeavors in Human Resources are intricately aligned with supporting student success, understanding that our efforts behind the scenes contribute significantly to the holistic development of our students. We are here not merely to fulfill a role but to contribute to a legacy—a legacy that echoes through the halls of Lincoln and in the lives of our students.

As we welcome you to our Lincoln family, we are reminded of the words of Theodore Roosevelt: "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care." It is with this guiding principle that we move forward, dedicated to nurturing an environment where care is not just a sentiment but the foundation of our actions.

Together, let us embark on this journey to enrich the lives of our students, our community and beyond, and each other. Welcome to Lincoln University, where your success is our priority, and your potential is limitless.
